PLUTO JACKET DRILLING COMPLETED

LDD under reamer completed all 144 down hole actuations with 100% reliability at the Pluto site, offshore NW shelf this morning. The specialist down hole tool and sub sea activation system was installed into the giant 3.0m drill caissons some months ago and proved to operate flawlessly sub sea from first installation to completion of the drilling campaign. Woodside's Resident Engineer and Platfrom Installation Co-ordinator provided the following communication to LDD upon completion:

Drilling was completed at Pluto site early this morning which is a great result for the project, the hole inspection was completed at 05:45hrs this morning with all 12 grooves clearly defined as per the design profile requirements. We are very pleased with the experience applied to the design of the Borehole Roughening Tools and congratulate your (LDD) design team for a first class design which has proved 100% reliable for the whole drilling campaign (all 144 in the hole actuations). Lee and Jim (LDD Specialist Drilling Engineers) have been a tremendous asset to the drilling team and are a credit to your (LDD) Company. We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Andy and his team...... for their on-time manufacture of the tool and the progressional approach to the FAT......
