LDD monopile construction can be achieved by the following methodologies:
- Drilled socket and grouted pile - open hole drilled in seabed with sacrificial casing to support overburden if required. Pile placed in drilled socket and supported during grouting operation
- Socket Drilling for insert pile or re-enforcement cage - pile driven to refusal before drilling an open hole below the pile toe. Insert pile placed and grouted in position or re-enforcement cage placed and concreted
- Drive/Drill/Drive - pile driven to first set. Open hole drilled below toe of pile before re-driving pile into drilled hole to target elevation
- Pile clean out for cast in situ piles - Pile driven to target elevation and cleaned out to toe by pile top drill system. Re-enforcement cage and concrete placed
